Root Canal Therapy

We have adopted the GentleWave® Technology in pursuit of improving the efficacy and efficiency of root canal treatment (RCT), as well as the patient experience. For well over a century, RCT has depended primarily on files to manually remove infected tissue and tooth structure from inside the tooth. Files, however, have limited reach inside complex root canal anatomy and can leave behind infected tissue and bacteria, leaving the tooth susceptible to reinfection.

The minimally invasive approach of the GentleWave Procedure minimizes manual instrumentation and instead utilizes a powerful vortex of procedure fluids and acoustic energy that cleans the deepest, most complex portions of the root canal system.

Digital Chairside Dentistry with CEREC

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction.

Crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that function and look like natural, healthy teeth, mmadde chairside without any impression materials or temporary crowns.

CEREC raises digital chairside dentistry to a higher level of predictability, efficiency, user-friendliness and patient satisfaction. More than any other system, CEREC blends seamlessly into our office to connect technology with your experience.

From crowns to bridges, and abutments to veneers, CEREC allows us to handle multiple indications in a single visit, eliminating the need for additional visits in most cases. Watch us scan, design, mill your crown and even custom stain and glaze your restoration to perfection!

Inlays and Onlays with CEREC

Much like fillings, inlays and onlays repair minor cavities or fractures in teeth. They provide increased support and protection for moderate sized repairs while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. Our inlays and onlays can be done in one visit using our CEREC technology to fabricate beautiful and strong tooth colored restorations.

Dental Implants

A dental implant mimics the form and function of a natural tooth, which consists of a root and a crown. The crown is the visible part of your tooth. It is used to chew food and is therefore the most susceptible to cavities. The crown is attached to the jawbone by way of the root. When decay has gone deep enough or when a periodontal disease has advanced enough to warrant an extraction, the entire tooth, root and all, is taken out. The dental implant is a titanium root that gets fitted into a socket that we create in your jaw. Once the implant heals, we place an artificial crown on top. The new crown is customized to match your bite and the color of your teeth.

What are the benefits of getting teeth implants?

  • They look and act like natural teeth

  • They can last a lifetime with the right care

  • You don’t need any adhesives to hold teeth in place

  • They improve appearance, comfort, and speech, are easier to clean and function like natural teeth

  • It’s easier to eat with a fixed prosthetic

  • Options are available for implant supported dentures, hybrid dentures and implant supported bridge work

Implant Procedure

The procedure can vary greatly due to the type of implant, location and bone density present. All of the factors affecting your implant procedure will be discussed at your consultation following 3-D imaging taken to map and surgically guide your implant placement. Our implants are placed in-office under local anesthesia, just like a filling or extraction. A typical procedure where there is an adequate height and depth of bone, a series of drills are used to create space in the bone for the appropriate size for the implant. The implant is then slowly placed into the bone and either covered with a small healing cap, or if it is a front tooth it is covered with a non-functional but esthetic temporary restoration. After a healing period of 3-6 months depending upon implant placement location and post-operative care, a scan is taken with our CEREC technology and a crown can often be made same day. Other steps may be needed and are dependent on many factors to be discussed with your dentist during your consultation.

Invisalign

We offer comprehensive invisalign treatment to our patients as an alternative to traditional braces with an orthodontist. Invisalign may be a good option for many patients who do not want traditional wires and brackets on their teeth. After a comprehensive evaluation and invisalign consultation, our Dentists can let you know if you are a good candidate for invisalign.

Why invisalign may be a better option over traditional braces:

  • Faster results: Invisalign can produce results in five months less time than braces.

  • Fewer trips to the dentist: Invisalign uses a digital treatment plan with online check-ins, so you can visit the dentist less often.

  • Oral hygiene: Invisalign allows you to maintain your oral hygiene routine because the aligners are removable. You can brush and rinse them every night, and replace them every 4–8 weeks.

  • Diet: You can eat your favorite foods while wearing Invisalign because the aligners are removable.

  • Appearance: Invisalign is discreet and virtually invisible.

  • Cost: Invisalign may be cost-effective, and your insurance, HSA/FSA, or doctor may be able to help with the cost.

Restorative Dentistry with Composite Resin Fillings

Used to prevent the spread of tooth decay or correct any cosmetic damage, a filling is just one of the ways our dentists preserve your health. Before placement, any decay must be removed. We offer local anesthesia to ensure maximum comfort for our patients. Composite fillings provide a more aesthetic result and bond to your teeth for a more secure restoration.  Composite fillings can also be matched to the color of your existing teeth for the most natural-looking treatment. Questions you may have about which filling material is best for you can be discussed.

Cleaning and Prevention

We encourage our patients to have routine dental care including exams, cleanings, and x-rays as recommended by our doctors. You shouldn't wait until you have pain or problems to come to the dental office. Prevent the problems before they start with an annual or bi-annual cleaning and exam.

What are some preventative services we provide?

  • Routine Dental Cleanings and Periodontal Maintenance

  • Comprehensive and Periodic Dental, Head and Neck Examinations

  • Scaling and Root Planning (deep cleaning)

  • Sealants

  • Oral Cancer Screening

  • Fluoride Treatments

  • Digital X-Rays

  • Nightguards, Sportguards and Sleep Appliances

Occlusal Guards

Treatment of occlusal-related disorders is often a challenge for both the dentist and the patient. These disorders are often difficult to diagnose, as the presenting symptoms can be variable. Occlusal splint design and function can be considered an example of the art and science of dentistry. Once the cause of occlusal-related disorders is identified, this reversible, noninvasive therapy provides both diagnostic information and relief without the problems that often accompany other approaches to care, such surgery and or extended drug therapy.

We have the ability to custom make your occlusal guard here in our office. We utilize iTero 3D scanning technology and SprintRay 3D printing in our lab to create a custom appliance for you. The process is simple and the turn around time is a short 10-14 days before we see you to fit your appliance.

If you have occlusal guard needs beyond what we are capable of accomplishing here in our office, we do utilize outside dental labs to handle more complex cases.
